The Celiac Association of South Africa (CASA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advising Celiac patients and their families how to live a safe, gluten-free lifestyle.
CASA was founded by a community of diverse individuals sharing a passion for living a healthy gluten-free lifestyle. We are not doctors or medical professionals, we are Celiac’s, or individuals who either know or live with someone diagnosed with Celiacs.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those on a lifelong gluten-free diet so they can live a healthy life, and advance understanding of the public through empowerment, education, and advocacy.
CASA is lobbying for the regulation of Celiac safe products on behalf of the entire coeliac community by employing certification, which must be displayed by any producers of food deemed safe for consumption by Celiac sufferers.
The CASA Certification will be awarded once a rigorous on-site inspection, and stringent testing has been conducted on the products. This process will be repeated periodically for continued verification of the safety of the products.
Look out for our stamp of approval on the Off the gluten path site and join us on our journey!
Warm regards
