It states chocolate hazelnut cake not chocolate hazelnut and vanilla cake. It was very sweet. Seems like most vegan cakes are 10 times sweeter than normal and I don't understand why. At first I didn't like it, it was to sweet and rich but when you have nothing else to nibble on you don't have a choice, you start liking it. So either way it was all bad. But I won't buy it again. I've eaten most of their cakes. This will be the last on the list. I will rather have dairy and suffer haha. The pistachio cake is my favourite.
Full disclosure - I ordered this cake without having tasted or seen it in real life, and thought it was a chocolate cake with hazelnuts. It is not. It is a hazelnut vanilla cake with generous amounts of chocolate icing. It is sumptuous and rich and the hazelnuts are fresh and flavourful. It is a very unique cake and best of all my daughter and I can enjoy it together without any allergens.
